Can Humans Become Demons and Find Forgiveness?
From time immemorial, the role of humans in the celestial hierarchy has been defined. According to traditional beliefs, only angels can become demons, a phenomenon that has occurred in history but is impossible for humans in the future. When a person is damned, they are sent to Hell, but they do not transform into demons. The spirits of damned individuals and demons cannot be saved again.
Human Transformation and its Consequences
The transformation of a human into a hybrid, known as a demon, is a complex process. A demon is a hybrid offspring of a human and an angel. Any attempt by a human to merge themselves with Angel, Demon, or animal DNA through mitosis to create a chimera would result in a permanent loss of the potential for salvation. The union of the physical body and soul means that any changes to one would affect the other.
When a human intentionally undergoes this transformation, the result is a new being whose soul is no longer in the image of God but instead takes on the form of a beast. This new creature would no longer be bound by the predestination of the soul to Sheol or Heaven, but would be allowed to freely roam and coexist in the bodies of the lost who welcome such possession or, even, in the bodies of certain random animals, until the final judgment.
The final judgment of such a life choice would be irreversible not only because the choice itself was damnable, but more importantly, because the alteration of the soul would prevent the Holy Spirit from inspiring or convicting the individual to repent. Rebellion against God would become the only drive for this new being.
Understanding Demons and Fallen Angels
It is essential to differentiate between demons and fallen angels. Fallen angels are still angels, albeit in a state of rebellion against God. In contrast, demons are disembodied spirits. Before the flood, they were known as the Nephilim. Unlike humans, whose spirits are destined for Sheol or Heaven, the souls of demons were not taken to rest, making them not bound by the final judgment yet suspended in an undefined existence.
There is debate about the current status of Paradise, a subterranean location for souls who were awaiting the coming of Messiah. Heaven, however, is now the resting place for souls belonging to God. Some argue that Paradise remains for souls who never heard the gospel but were not willfully wicked, while others believe it may be abandoned.
Summary and Calls to Action
While the concept of a human becoming a demon is alarming, it is emphasized that crying out to God and seeking forgiveness through Jesus Christ remains an option for any individual in a demonic state. The journey towards forgiveness and salvation is not lost, and ongoing spiritual guidance and support are crucial.
For those seeking a deeper understanding, engaging in religious practices, seeking counsel from spiritual leaders, and reading scriptures can provide further insight and comfort.
